DMCA COPYRIGHT POLICY

How to file a DMCA takedown notice with Ranae Villas, what your notice must include, how we review copyright complaints and how counter-notices are handled.

Ranae Villas respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same in return. This page explains how to send us a copyright takedown notice and how we handle it. It follows the general framework of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, adapted for our site. We act fast on valid notices.

How to file a notice

Send your notice to [email protected] with the subject line "DMCA NOTICE". Include your name and contact details; a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed; the exact URL on our site where the material appears; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised; a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them; and your signature. Anonymous notices without evidence are rejected because we cannot verify them.

What happens next

We review complete notices within three working days and acknowledge receipt. Where the complaint is justified, we remove or amend the material first and then notify the contributor, so the disputed content does not stay live while a discussion continues. We keep a record of the notice and the action taken. If we need more information to locate the material, we will tell you precisely what is missing.

Counter notices

If your material was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with your name, address and contact details, identification of the removed material and its previous location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. Where a valid counter-notice is received, we may restore the content after ten working days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Respect the work, credit the source, ask before you copy.
